There is undeniable magic going on at Céline, and whether or not it's all been one big media marketed hype that started off with the ubiquitous Céline luggage tote manifesting itself upon the arms of every celebrity and major magazine editor, Phoebe Philo's cult following is stronger than ever. Let me be clear, there's totally nothing wrong in going for the "it" bags, but I often find myself purchasing the slightly different or lesser known types of bags of the "it" brands if I had to, meaning I'd rather purchase the other style rather than the most common one that everyone has, but if the most popular style indeed got me hooked, I'd settle for a more subversive/daring color or texture just to shake things up a bit. Come on.. if you're willing to pay 1,200 pounds for a bag, why go for convention when what you're doing is already unconventional so to speak (as in luxury purchases is suppose to be against the norm of social shopping). In all honesty, I don't think that going for the black "it" bag is of any means a "bad" thing or a "fashion no-no", but fashion should involve risk taking, so being overly comfortable in one garment or with one bag for too long probably indicates it's time to venture for newer grounds. But enough of me jabbering on about my views on it-bag purchases, for now I just want to share some pics I took of my new SS12 taupe Céline sunnies that I'm still totes fawning over! To see more pics of me sporting these in a previous post, click here! Oh and not to brag, but I swear I got these before Céline launched their Spring Summer Advertising Campaign shot by Juergen Teller, and apparently... I'm sporting this season's Céline "it" sunglasses....... Oh the sweet sweet irony! Haha.
