It started off slow and gentle, then it got rough and sweaty. Get your mind out of the gutter (just kidding, keep it there), I'm talking about Fashion's Night Out. I was invited to Issey Miyake's book launch at their London store on Conduit Street. It was the perfect setting to kick-start the night; laid-back and classy with most guests candidly sporting at least one piece of Miyake's pleated pieces,
downing sipping lemon grass juices or raspberry vodka martinis while stroking the delicately hung gravity-defying looking garments around store. After an hour of mindless gabbing, I left the nest and ventured out to a few other stops: Kenzo, Charlotte Olympia, Louboutin, Layers, Margiela, then met up with dear friend Nikita at Matthew Williamson of whom I got the pleasure to meet. Then after checking out Burberry, Dolce Gabbana, Victoria's Secret and DKNY, the place started to die down (most likely due to crowds moving onto the after party at W hotel or Sketch), so those still seeking to keep their buzz migrated off elsewhere, they shouldn't let a good outfit go to waste. The night just got so chic.
