Feature: The Fashion Network

Waking up to receive a newsletter link from The Fashion Network featuring an interview you've done for them is what I call a worthy Smize and Shine moment. Seeing your face smacked right in the center of TFN's homepage is still quite surreal for me. As long as it's not on some dodgy porn site, I can get used to this (trust me people, I do not possess the sun-kissed beach bod you see in Calvin Klein underwear ads; I traded in my six pack for six pairs of Acne shoes). What's even better is the small caption that links to the full feature even quoted a term I coined: 'Dandrogynous' which is a portmanteau from 'double' and 'androgyny'. The Five Day Provoker

Here's your order folks! One obligatory and slightly belated LFW outfits post. I was the boy trotting around in flatforms, sporting mouth-shrouding crystal-encrusted nose rings and color mirrored specs. I hate to disappoint but if you're expecting me to concoct some lame unoriginal inspirations behind each outfit, I'd have to admit I simply grabbed shiny trousers, printed tees, and checked if my wrists and fingers were fully loaded, so that if I were to pass a metal detector, I'd certainly set off all the neighboring ones as well (plus I prayed to the fashion gods to strengthen my ankles and don't let me fall). But before leaving the house, I made damn sure each day's attire had its own Provoker DNA embedded within them (but to be honest, at fashion week, there were times where I feel like the Provokee). Many have asked whether my nose rings "hurt" or were an inconvenience. Let me hereby answer your inquiries: They're slide-ons so they don't hurt, you're just vaguely aware that something special is dangling there (like having bollocks since they're both "jewels"). As for consumption, I use a straw to drink water and since it's fashion week I don't eat. I'm just kidding... I only drink coffee during fashion week.

LFW SS13: Part 3

A full day of miserably cold, windy, and wet weather made me grateful that we've had clear and sunny skies all through London Fashion Week. Trust me, none of my five day outfits would've survived two seconds in the rain, plus I would have surely slipped and fell face flat on the damp uneven grounds of Somerset House effectively breaking my ego (there goes all my cool Fonzie points). But thankfully, I believe I'm getting more and more adapt in sporting elevated footwear, I think I'm ready for my Prada SS13 geisha flatforms, and yes I will wear the silver socks to go with the full look, so "Memoirs of a Gaysha"! LFW SS13: Part 2

Ok, here goes round two. I've eased up on the caffeine intake and gotten more adapt at style stalking. There was a particular hour right before the John Rocha show where traipsing around Somerset House in otherwise known as painfully heightened footwear really paid off. In that mere hour, I spotted Scott Schuman and Phil Oh in their "natural habitat", and got a chance to shoot Tommy Ton for a change, along with Papa and daughter Rocha dashing in-and-out of backstage for air (good sports for letting me shoot them). I can't stress the importance of investing in a semi or professional lens. Yes, yes, I know it's tough thinking you could've spent that wad of cash on a new bi-textural (like bisexuals but with texture, duh) J.W. Anderson perforated shirt dress or a Kenzo brocade coat, but seriously you won't regret it. You of all people should appreciate the wondrous nature of quality photos. While people lust over Louboutin's red sole, I for one can't wait to upgrade my lens with a red ring.
