Little Black Skirt

If it's classic for every girl to own a little black dress, and Chanel to launch their Little Black Jacket, what about the little black skirt? Up till now, I was fully content in not crossing the boundary of putting on a skirt, so why a sudden change from kilt (which I usually sport) to skirt? It's a known fact that once an underground trend is made viral, that trend is instantly deemed not as cool to those underground practitioners. So my act of migrating to the "outskirts" was instigated by Kanye West's recent sartorial decision to wear a Givenchy kilt, which manifested an ultimatum to me: Either give up the kilt (for now) or re-brand it. In this case, the latter succeeded. Givenchy menswear kilts out, Givenchy womenswear skirts in! Don't get me wrong, I'm not at all condoning my readers to splurge their hard earned money on a Givenchy skirt just to be "cool", mine was borrowed from (wait for it)..... my sister, just to prove a point and comment on celebrity culture. Your move now, Kanye...

  3. I think my favourite part is how the top part is rolled down to fit perfectly - I think thats what I'm going to do with the leather skirt I own that's just that Liiiittle bit to small for me :p I've never found the skirts on boys thing unattractive, I guess because I've always loved kilts so much (kings wore them! More importantly, the scots wore them! How could anyone watch braveheart & then say that kilts are for sissys?)

    1. I'm flattered, I really just wanted to show people that skirts can be masculine too, I know it's overrated to say this but it's really just about the styling, but most importantly, just owning the look.

    1. Thanks Charlie, it's actually an eel skin texture, but at first I also thought it was python, but the fact that it's eel, I think that right there was enough provocation to persuade me to get it. Glad you like skirts on guys! ;D
