Executing my very first outfit post in Paris demands a certain amount of 'chic'. In between attending the Hussein Chalayan and Issey Miyake show, I had the opportunity of doing a quickie shoot at Jardin des Tuileries. Regarding this monochromatic ensemble, let's first thank Phoebe Philo for hating exposed necks and concealing them behind foulards, chokers or turtlenecks; plus seeking 'thinspiration' from the woman herself, an impulsive hair-in-collar tuck provided additional warmth to my neck, thereby ending my embarrassing quivers that would've literally left me shaking in my Acne boots. Yet ultimately, it was the flared Céline trows (which at times masqueraded as a giant skirt) that did most of the provoking. It doesn't take a trend-forecaster to inform you that plaid, outerwear, or statement trousers are Spring 2013 must-haves. So by simply slapping on a pair of Palazzo pants or feet-shrouding bottoms would garner a definite 'oui' from the judges.
