Patternity

When it comes to mixing prints, I'm never any good at it. Perhaps a stylist from Mary Katrantzou could show me the ropes, or I could take some notes from Susie Bubble who long mastered the art of mix-n-match. Just recently, I purchased this Haider Ackermann coat (50% off!) as a birthday treat for myself. So in hoping to concoct some sort of provocative ensemble, the decision to 'pattern' it out just sort of manifested organically. Grasping the coat in one hand, I figured, why not just mentally scan my existing wardrobe for all pieces that possess geometric repetitions, then wear them all in one look. Turns out, it worked! Without hesitation, I promptly hopped on a wooden table, twirled around with glee, and left running before the security noticed me.

  1. What can I say, the whole combination is indeed unique! The patterns are bold and the mixture is somehow well balanced. The coat is of course fantastic, nice purchase!!

    1. Yeah! I was suprised too at how well they looked together, it's provocative repetition which in a way mitigates the overall effect somehow, hmmm....
