All Twerk and No Play

Even though I've fought it a few times, I too fell prey to Acne's FW13-4 commercial floral bird printed jumper created by freelance print designer Daniela Roghe. It's just such a great entry point piece, comfy and cozy; and yes I know that although probably everyone also owns this, it still beats Givenchy's never-ending digital-print jumpers that retails for, er.. just a price point that's not worth it regardless if you've got the dough to fork out for them. Despite the moniker 'The Provoker', my style has taken a slight detour. I began gravitating towards a more neutral, reduced look, providing that the 'provoker DNA' continues to lie within the details. Have we all kind of grown weary of overly doing statement pieces, that finally we just want to say 'we've shut up the "F" up' with our clothes? Since my ensemble insists on remaining quiet with statements, that doesn't stop me from still being the provoker that I am, so Imma TWERK it! Excuse my lame attempt at this, I've truly never twerked before... Taking lessons from Miley has not paid off.

  10. how I miss visiting your blog hahah! I absolutely love the floral sweater like it just looks absolutely eastern yet so chic without looking too feminine(read: more unisexual), and I absolutely love how you kept your signature, shades-look on, loving how the pants look sort of baggy and how the colors are pretty pale, making this white aesthetics effect. The platforms are just, you know what girl?, were werk werk and (t)werk. (oh and I twerk a lot everywhere like at school and everywhere else like I once pretended robin thicke was the wall omg heck yeaaa and I had this aerobics assignment on PE when I almost twerked lol I know Im MileyMessy!)

  13. Understated by your standards but absolutely gorgeous. Nathan, I tried to text you the other day but you may not have received my text...perhaps you're in Paris already? If so, that would be fantastic news! :)

  14. Hahah love the twerking. You're braver than I to put that on the internet lol. I'm with you on being tired of statement dressing; especially with the street style blogs out there trying to one-up themselves, it just seems like it's high time for good ol' minimalism.
