skimming reading Hunter S. Thompson's Hell's Angels (an infamous biker gang in the late 40s and 50s) during my Junior year for A.P. History (which I surprisingly scored a 4 out of 5 considering how little I actually remembered for the final exam), I've sort of always dreamed of what it would be like to breeze through L.A. on my Harvey-Davidson, and sport a proper studded leather jacket with authentic skull-and-roses tattoos all over my upper body, whilst my long blonde locks flew in the hot Californian air on days I don't wear my trusty paisley bandana (a bit clichéd, I know). So what better way to way tribute to that, or live vicariously through it than to put together an impromptu biker-inspired ensemble. Yes, yes, a true Angel today probably wouldn't be caught dead wearing a sheer shirt with espadrille brogues and a red leathered chain-bag, but I'd like to think that they'd evolved to be quite open-minded. Pity that I'm not in Paris, where the night streets are parked full with bikes, which would incidentally make this outfit post a homerun if I posed on them. Then again, there is that added temptation of me highjacking that motorcycle and driving off, making my 'riding off into the sunset' fantasy a reality.
