There's no dodging the plethora of statement coats for the imminent wintry days. You can't turn around without swinging your boy bag into someone with a big-ass outerwear slung over their shoulders. So since you can't beat 'em, join 'em (or so that's what they say you should). This time, we really mean oversize, but can we actually please do it rather than just say it, mm-kay? Oh, and rumor has it "they've" rebranded the term 'oversize' as 'outsize' in case editors grow bored of the overused-oversize term... #OVERDONE. So if you are to splurge on a nice coat or two, they better be one that can procreate several versatile looks to go along with it. So here's the first of, and definitely not the last of, my "one piece, three way" kinda post, provoker style of course. The first ensemble here is pretty standard, as in accompanied with a matching sheer paneled shirt, adorned by brass bling and a Wonder-Woman Dannijo cuff that I suspect can block bullets. Finished off with some pretty tough tread heels designed for hiking, so yeah, they're my hiking heels. Moving on... Look two has me actually in a texture-blocked dress that conveniently opens down the front allowing said piece to also assume the role of a gilet or waistcoat. Such look is designed for heel-hibernation days, and for funky dunky sneakers to takeover the wheel (ever tried tying your laces around your Achilles's heel?). And finally, how can we forsake our dear denim, in double dosage, topped off with sheer grid ankle socks I scoured in the depths of Topshop sported with plexi-sandals, if that's not provoking, I don't know what is.
