And just when you think you've sobered up from that holiday-hangover, comes the mother-load that is the New Year's hangover horror. But for those fortunate ones who don't suffer from this, do read on. As appealing as it is to make New Year's resolutions, I've never been too good at remembering them let alone apply them, so let's not make this a post about that because frankly I can't stand reading another ubiquitous bullshit list of 2014 must change-and-dos. Having that said, let's take it easy, starting off the New Years with a new look. Okay, even though I'm not doing the whole 'New Year's Resolution' mumbo-jumbo, perhaps I'd say things like when it comes to trousers whose hems are too long, instead of just rolling them up, I'd resolve to use the alternate option of doing a hem-flip, observe below my boot cut jeans now with a calf sleeve. I also resolve to wear more hats, and may they be even wider-brimmed and worn around the neck or held as they are purely decorative, as seen in a raffia texture with an oh-so provocative matching tweed combo. To be honest, when it comes to any future fashion or personal style choice, I'm still keeping last year's NYR of not to overthink or take it too serial-ly (Ha!). As tacky and low-fat cheesy as it is to type, I'm looking forward to 2014 being a positive year ahead for us all. What's the point of worrying?! Instead, focus on getting use to writing a '4' instead of a '3' at the end of dates, I mean, that's always a bitch every year right?
