Navy Is The New Black

Though some would adamantly argue no shade can ever replace 'black' as the new black, let's consider navy. Hear me out! When given the choices of either black or navy, opt for the the latter, I do so as a rule of thumb. Trust me, I've been receiving affirmations on this. Who knows exactly why, but by just swapping the darkest shade for one with a tinge of blue somehow works wonders for your look. Let's not get too deep and start analyzing color spectrum theories here (though one can always take a leaf out of Prada's book of immaculate color-sense), but just go with it blindly, though not so blindly that you can't tell if it's black or really dark blue, 'cause sometimes that happens. Now, judging by my pit-stains and noticeably larger intake of liquids that summer is starting to take its toll on me. So begins the unfortunate farewell to layering, and hello to skimpy outfits that bare arms and legs respectively. Wearing jackets in this humid heat seems inappropriate, but I managed to source out the perfect one that still seems climatically plausible to sport. Meet this Toga Pulla nylon cropped bomber with detachable mesh, err.. bottoms?, designed to still let a breeze seep through the jacket and onto my sweat-glossed skin. Then throw on some marbled cat-eye ASOS sunnies, high-waisted leather diapers, a chunky dumpling backpack to carry my many bottles of coconut water, and finish the look off with incredibly practical Birkenstocks. I may seem like the bitch who would wave his satin Céline birkens in your face, but when it comes to practicality which I rarely partake, I get reeeeal practical... and I go German, not French. #5PointsIfYouGotThat

  1. I'm still convinced no colour can reply black but great argument. Nevertheless, I love your coat, I think navy is a great colour for it.
